Baby Isabel arrived yesterday, October 21st, at 7:45am in the morning. Let’s hope she’s not always going to be a morning person since mommy and daddy like to sleep in. Helen’s water broke Monday evening around 7pm and we arrived at the hospital an hour later.  After 12 hours of labor, Isabel made her appearance weighing in at about 5 pounds and 5 ounces and 18 1/4 inches long.  A little on the petite side, she got a clean bill of health from her pediatrician. We’re just glad she arrived healthy and happy. Mommy and baby have been recovering and bonding at El Camino hospital where they are waited on hand and foot by the awesome nursing staff. All of Isabel’s uncles, aunts, and grandparents called to find out how everyone was doing and offer congratulations.Helen and Isabel are scheduled to be discharged from the hospital on Saturday so check back here often for updates.
